Gap Year Expedition - Peru
The Peru Expedition is a wonderful program if you want to do an adventure expedition in South America. As with Real Gap's other volunteer expeditions abroad, it combines travel, adventure and volunteer work, so the program is full of satisfying and rewarding experiences for your gap year or career break.
This gap year expedition immerses you into the geographical and cultural diversity that makes Peru an incredible place to visit during your gap year or career break. With deserts, mountains, beaches and lakes this challenging and stimulating gap year expedition gives you excellent variety and an amazing insight into Peru.
The program shows you the very best Peru has to offer - incredible Inca ruins, breathtaking mountain scenery, colourful markets, wildlife, tranquil beaches, desert mysteries, fascinating culture and history. As well as all this, you will be study Spanish as you travel and have loads of chances to practise your language skills with the locals. This means you gain a good understanding of the language in a short time.
The program can be 4, 6 or 8 weeks long, so you are able to volunteer as long as you want.

Domestic flight back to Lima (approximately US$70) is not included in the 4 or 6-week expedition. | Programme Summary: Four day Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu, Ballestas Islands trip to see the abundant marine life and pristine eco-systems, activities such as sea kayaking and sand boarding, Lake Titicaca trip, Nazca lines trip and the famous Islas Los Uros - floating reed islands.
