Wild Coast Wildlife Conservation Project
On this South African Volunteer project you will have the privilege of watching the benefits of all your hard work and passion, as you contribute to long-term and vital schemes aimed at developing local conservation. By joining this program, you’ll help to ensure the survival of endangered African species along the Wild Coast of South Africa.
Every day you will be involved in a variety of activities, working as part of a team with the stunningly beautiful Wild Coast as your backdrop. During your free time at weekends, you’ll be able to enjoy exploring this region, participating in all of the available excursions you wish to join.
Project LocationThis project is based in the Wild Coast region, located between East London and Durban on South Africa’s east coast. Formerly part of the Transkei province, it boasts a great deal of Africa’s very dramatic terrains and coastline.
Accommodation & MealsYou’ll be based at permanently tented safari camp, set in beautiful and peaceful bush land. From this vantage point, you’ll have access to viewing wildlife living on the reserve. The spacious and very comfortable tents can sleep five people in number. They even come equipped with their own wardrobes and beds. You’ll be able to sip a relaxing drink most evenings on your own private decking overlooking the bush.
You will receive three meals daily. However if you are working in the field on any particular day, you will take a packed lunch with you.
